Terms and Conditions

1. Identification of the Merchant

These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of serialized fantasy publications, slow-crafted physical prints, and digital subscriptions through Starfall Stories (operated by Nathan McCabe, based in Groningen, the Netherlands). Inquiries may be addressed directly via our Contact Page.

2. Scope of Services and Offerings

Starfall Stories provides both physical literary publications and digital content:

• Physical Editions: Slow-crafted, hand-printed short story chapbooks and collectible prints on archival paper, packaged and posted from Groningen.
• Digital Editions (EPUB/Audio): Typeset electronic books and atmospheric audio files delivered electronically.
• Starfall Club Subscriptions: Monthly recurring subscriptions providing continuous postal delivery of newly published print editions or digital dispatches.

3. Pricing, Payments & Delivery Fees

All prices are stated in Euros (€ / EUR) inclusive of Dutch statutory VAT where applicable. Individual print prices are subject to regional delivery charges calculated based on destination:

• Groningen (Local): Free hand or bicycle delivery.
• Netherlands (National): Handled via PostNL domestic standard mail.
• Global / International: Handled via international postal carriers.

Payments and recurring billing are processed securely through Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Credit cards, iDEAL, and major European payment methods are accepted. Starfall Stories never stores or has access to full credit card details.

4. Subscriptions & Cancellation Policy

Monthly subscription plans renew automatically on a monthly basis. Subscribers may modify, pause, or cancel their recurring subscription at any time without penalty or notice period via the Stripe Customer Portal link provided in each invoice or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing cycle.

5. EU Statutory Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-off Period)

In accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU on Consumer Rights:

• Physical Editions: European Union consumers have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receipt without providing a reason. Returned items must be received in original, unread archival condition. Return postage costs are borne by the consumer unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
• Digital Editions (EPUB / Audio downloads): By downloading or accessing immediate digital content upon purchase, you consent to immediate execution of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for that digital file once download begins.

6. Intellectual Property & Copyright

All texts, universe lore, fictional characters, cover illustrations, and logo designs are the exclusive intellectual property of Nathan McCabe (© 2026). Website design and photography are © Luis Boullosa. No part of any story or artwork may be reproduced, redistributed, mirrored, or resold without explicit prior written authorization.

7. Dispute Resolution & Applicable Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands and applicable European consumer protection regulations. Consumers within the European Union may also submit cross-border disputes via the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
